At Aspendale Gardens Primary School we offer an engaging and hands-on science program that is entrenched within the day-to-day teaching in the classroom.
Our Junior program aims to engage our young learners with scientific concepts through our play-based curriculum and hands-on learning. Students participate in experiences which enable them to explore, question, collaborate, think critically, problem solve, communicate and discover new knowledge; the essential building blocks for developing inquiring minds.
In the Senior School, we provide a number of opportunities for students to undertake their own science-based projects such as research reports, experiments and inventions to further explore key scientific concepts and areas of interest.
The Annual Aspendale Gardens Science Week is an anticipated event throughout with school, offering a week dedicated to science exploration and activities. Especially popular are the Junior and Senior Science Fairs. Students have the opportunity to register an entry into three categories: Experiments, Research Reports or Inventions.
